Writing Tricks
Each quarter I will focus on writing "tricks" that will help students improve their writing. These writing "tricks" are used in conjunction with the "Write Steps Program". These will be done weekly in class, in students ELA Composition Books, and will be collected weekly and checked for participation/completeness. Again, student's ELA Composition Books will become a very useful tool for them to refer to when writing throughout the school year.
Click the button below to see more about the writing tricks.
The bulk of our "writing assignments" will be done in class and as class projects. We will be doing daily writing lessons, teaching students the process of PLAN, DRAFT, REVISE, EDIT, and FINAL. We have three major writing assignments that will be done throughout the school year. Most of the work is done together in class as part of instruction; you can however expect to have some homework for these assignments throughout the year.
